Made my @Curbed debut today talking to NYC’s indie theaters as they prepare to reopen after an almost year-long shut down. Plus an update on @AlamoNYC’s Lower Manhattan location https://t.co/aiekUo2KSo
This is an amazing piece of old-school New York footage.
Local NBC news after the Mets won the 1986 World Series.
Chuck Scarborough. Sue Simmons. Al Roker. Len Berman. And a bunch of absolutely HAMMERED Mets players.
It's a job that's rarely every open, but we're hiring a film programmer at alamo. Work with our amazing rep & alt programming team to bring the classics back to the big screen https://t.co/rVhogMtd1X
Hi editor pals! In 2026 I'd love to start writing for some new publications. Film critic and video essay writer originally from Mumbai, now in NYC, and always at film festivals (Sundance, Berlin, SXSW and Cannes next). More about me and some work samples: https://t.co/UjkkanhgFM
There are still some spots left in my (Brooklyn-based) "the review as creative writing" workshop, which starts Monday at the Center for Fiction and runs for eight weeks. It should be a good time. Come write with us!

As @britthates said, he was at his best when things were at their worst. A bad movie, a boring meeting, a lame event…all exponentially improved by Wampler’s presence
Laughing my ass off reading some old DMs from Wampler. I missed him once we both left Alamo, missed him again during COVID when no one was going anywhere and will miss him dearly now forever.
Two years ago, I took the love of my life -- James Rocchi to the hospital. He died hours later, around 4:30 AM. One thing most people don't know is that he did not die from a heart attack, as was assumed and reported at the time.
He died from an aortic dissection. 1/
Jerry Springer, one of TV's most controversial hosts, has died at 79.
“The Jerry Springer Show” began its run in 1991, and in 1998, at the height of its popularity, beat “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in the ratings with 12 million viewers. https://t.co/JIfFMLihxj
