@Icelandair Still waiting, Icelandair. My baggage was delayed, I followed your instructions, provided my credit card statement as requested, and I’m still waiting for compensation. How much longer? It’s time to do right by your passengers. #Icelandair#poorcustomerservice
@Icelandair Dear Icelandair, it’s been over two months since my delayed baggage claim from April 16. I was instructed by your representative to put expenses on my credit card and provide my statement—which I did. Now you’re refusing the very documentation the Montreal Convention accepts. How much longer does “processing” take? #Icelandair #montrealconvention #poorcustomerservice
@Icelandair@Icelandair Delayed baggage on April 16. Claim filed immediately. Credit card statement provided exactly as instructed by your representative. More than two months later, you’re still hiding behind the Montreal Convention while rejecting the very documentation you told me to submit. Remarkable customer service. #poorcustomerservice #montrealconvention #delayedluggage #passengerrights
@Icelandair It appears Icelandair is attempting to use the Montreal Convention as a reason to avoid compensating passengers rather than complying with it. Despite being advised by your representative to place necessary purchases on my credit card and provide a statement upon my return, Icelandair is now refusing to accept that statement as proof of expenses. Credit card statements are explicitly recognized under the Montreal Convention when original receipts are unavailable. After more than two months of delays, repeated requests for documents already provided, and no meaningful progress toward resolution, it is difficult to see this as anything other than an effort to avoid meeting your obligations under the Convention. #passengerrights #montrealconvention #poorcustomerservice
@Icelandair Dear Icelandair,
More than 8 weeks have passed since my delayed baggage claim was submitted. The Montreal Convention establishes carrier liability for reasonable expenses resulting from baggage delays. I would appreciate a timely resolution of my outstanding compensation claim.

@Icelandair Huge thanks to Icelandair for confirming my compensation claim is “in the queue.”
They’re currently working on claims from March, which is reassuring. Nothing says efficient customer service quite like being three months behind on fixing your own mistakes.

@Icelandair Amazing that Icelandair is still working through March compensation claims in June. If customer service moved as fast as luggage belts, there might not be such a backlog. Over 50 days waiting and counting. #Icelandair#montrealconvention#poorcustomerservice
@Icelandair Good news: Icelandair found my luggage.
Bad news: they’re still looking for my compensation.

@Icelandair Good news from Icelandair: my claim is in a queue so long they’re still working on March. Almost impressive how many compensation claims you can accumulate when you don’t process them promptly! #poorcustomerservice#compensation#montrealconvention
@Icelandair Apparently Icelandair is still working through March claims, which explains why I’m still waiting for compensation from April. At some point, a queue this long stops being an excuse and starts looking like a symptom of a bigger problem. #montrealconvention #delayedluggage #poorcustomerservice
