@IBCycleWay @ChrisCalviFree@duooJulie@AxleRyde@WgtnCC Saw a driver use the cycle lane as a left turn lane earlier today, as I was cycling behind them. Needs to be made more difficult to drive into @WgtnCC

This 👇 - lots of people are taking up biking for the first time with the bus service really struggling and the weather improving. We don't want these people to have horrendous near misses, accidents and injuries in their first few rides

On the way up to Countdown in Newtown I feel the same, just keen to get some respite by reaching the safety of the 300m cycleway. Really looking forward to it running all the way from the waterfront to Newtown
@murrence @notinaboyband It was the use of "abject" that got me - tipped it over the line from reporting into opinion. Hard agree - they need to be funded, or unfunded, or as you say, whatever it is they're not now. The current situation at the abject ITV can't continue.
We are fast approaching the final day of the year dogs are allowed on Oriental Bay beaches. Also known as Halloween.⛱☀️
Again, I ask you to join my petition to also make it a Dogs-In-Costume Day!
🎃👻 @MissWhanau bring Teddy pls.
Good chat with @IBCycleWay on the ride in, keen to see the conversation on improved active travel and densification link up - and getting more (not all) people on bikes and scooters will help traffic immensely as we densify 🛴🚲🚋🚌🏙️🏗️
I’ve had some people caring loudly at me in the best way this morning and I can now share the good news - on prelim results I have a 500+ majority to be a councillor for the Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa ward of Auckland Council. Frankly shocked.
I was not successful this election, but I'm excited that the progressive council that has been elected will continue the work on the big issues for Wellington. Congrats to @MissWhanau for her landslide victory and to @laurie_foon and @nureddin_abd. Paekawakawa is in good hands 👏
Well said @nealejones. The party endorsed and supported candidates stood out in the campaign. They are intelligent, well informed, articulate people with strong values. And Wellingtonians could see it clearly and the results speak for themselves.
On current numbers, a solid centre-left majority of 10 on Wellington City Council: 3 Green (Whanau, Paul, Foon), 2 ex Greens (Free, Pannett), 5 Labour (McNulty, Matthews, O'Neill, Abdurahman, Reweti). Not that they'll vote consistently on all issues, of course.
Congratulations to Tony Randle, Ben McNulty and John Apanovicz who have been elected to Takapū Northern ward.
It has been an honour and a privilege to represent you for the past 3 years.
I am humbled to have been elected to serve as councillor for Wellington's Paekawakawa/Southern Ward.
Thank you to the community for putting your faith in me, to my family for their support and to all the volunteers who worked so hard on my campaign.
