@DukeNukem1996 No, you’re wrong. They pay for all of their healthcare costs. We choose to pay more to make a bunch of people rich. We could choose to control costs like them if we wanted while improving overall outcomes. But we don’t.
@Thrawn137@istopngol@nbarealist23@Thanksboyy7 Not really my point. My point is that anyone saying there is a definitive GOAT based on "these are my metrics" is only fixing their metrics around who they want to call the GOAT. "They have to have everything better than __________. Except for the things I don't care about."
@Patrickdale1st @theorangereya@RyanozRyan@MarioNawfal Nonsense. Drug overdose deaths are not a blue or red state problem, it's a national problem, and New York, Maryland, and California don't lead the nation in overdose death rate, much less have ALL of the problem.

@Thrawn137@istopngol@nbarealist23@Thanksboyy7 It's not really it, is it? 11>6. Plus a few others are fake comparisons. No DPOY, no FMVP, and no All Defense until his very last year. Probably would be 13 times All Defense and maybe 13 times DPOY.
@DonJuan63986952@justdavenow89@lamont1940 That’s like saying a tiger is an earthworm. They’re not closely related viruses at all. You need to open a book and stop having hurt feelings.
@johnsplaining@FabricGlezN@JamesSurowiecki Sounds like you already "know" that it was a lab leak, huh? Yet you couldn't pressure the Chinese government! It was almost certainly from the wet market, even if your feelings say otherwise.
@johnsplaining@FabricGlezN@JamesSurowiecki No it isn't. WHO wanted to do a careful evaluation of where it came from, and China destroyed all the evidence. This is in contrast to SARS in 2003, where they traced it to civets. China was supposed to clean up their wild animal trade and didn't after SARS.
@johnsplaining@FabricGlezN@JamesSurowiecki Correct. China didn't hesitate to cover up the wet market, clearing and cleansing it with bleach, slaughtering and incinerating millions of animals, shutting down thousands of farms, and rewriting their laws before investigators could assess it. Diplomacy be damned.
