The quaint village of Cushendun bathed in sunshine today. A van hop up the coast to Ballycastle saw a large crowd return from Rathlin Island on the "Spirit of Rathlin" ferry. The puffins there are quite the attraction.
The Beautiful South never relied on volume to make an impact. "Good as Gold (Stupid as Mud)" combined sharp, witty songwriting with irresistible melodies, highlighting the band's knack for wrapping social observation in deceptively gentle pop. This acoustic MTV performance strips the song back to its essentials, letting the quality of the writing and the vocal harmonies take centre stage.
A beautiful day on the North Antrim coast. Great to stretch the legs after the recent poor weather. Fascinating to see some catsharks up close in the coastal zone aquarium in Portrush.

Hot Fuzz (2007) is one of the most tightly constructed comedies ever made. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg pack the script so densely that almost every line ends up as a setup, payoff, callback, or sly reference to classic action movies.
Mussenden Temple perched on a cliff overlooking Downhill Beach, with views to Magilligan Point, Donegal, Castlerock, Portstewart & Portrush and on a clear day the Isles of Scotland. You might even see a train beneath you disappear into a tunnel.
