"The hardest decision we had to make in completing this report was.. not to name the Palestinian children, whose deaths, injuries & suffering we describe.. we didn't name them because we feared the consequences for their families"
He means Israel would go after them too.
“History will remember him as the unremarkable former human rights lawyer who offered carte blanche to the gravest crimes of our age.”
Good riddance, Sir Keir. For @ScotNational.
Here is what we know: U.S. taxpayer money, funneled through USAID and NIH, funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That research likely caused the COVID pandemic that killed millions and cost trillions.
Dr. Fauci personally signed off on these experiments, then lied to Congress about it. Biden tried to protect him with a last-minute pardon. That’s the very definition of a cover-up.

Tens of thousands of Albanians have gathered for the 21st day in a row to protest plans to build a luxury resort on Albania’s southern coast, a development linked to Jared Kushner.
Will Elon Musk and other MAGA types be tweeting about this former top rightwing politician in the UK who was just found guilty of being a pedophile and whose wife aided and abetted him in those sick sex crimes against children? If not, why not?
Ireland spent €2.88 million deporting 377 people by charter jet since February 2025, according to Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan this week. Most recent flight on Thursday to Johannesburg cost €735,000 and carried 42 South Africans. The most expensive deportation charter to date. These figures exclude Garda overtime and other staffing, so the true operational cost is higher.
Follow the money. The contract for the flights is held by Air Partner Ltd, a Gatwick based company (with interesting shareholders) that recorded pre-tax profits of £8.5 million in 2024, under a deal worth up to €5 million. The per-head cost across all ten flights works out at roughly €7,639 per deportee, though that figure varies wildly depending on destination and group size, ranging from Georgia at around €3,200 a head to the most recent South Africa flight at roughly €17,500 per person.
This is an industry. People are making fortunes from this bureaucracy and revolving door policies are necessary to keep that money flowing. In fact everyone seems to be benefiting financially from the asylum process except the Irish taxpayers.

Seven Americans from Alabama held ten children captive for three years, forcing them into prostitution.
During a raid on the criminal group, seven suspects were arrested, including two mothers whose children were subjected to torture and violence in a bunker.
One man drugged children aged between two and 15 years old, and then brought in clients who paid up to a thousand dollars for rape.
The New York Post notes that the bunker either belonged to an elderly grandmother of one of the suspects, McElroy, or was located near her home. The woman put electric shock collars on the victims, including her own children.

BREAKING: 🇮🇷🇺🇸🇮🇱 Iran announces the Strait of Hormuz has been officially closed after the US failed to pressure Netanyahu to stop the war on Lebanon
In view of America's blatant breach of promise and breach of contract regarding the failure to implement Paragraph 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding to end the war.
And in response to the continuous violations of the ceasefire by the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon and the merciless killing and displacement of hundreds of thousands of the oppressed people of this land, and failure of the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon:
We announce that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all vessels.
The financial accounts for Adam Harris (brother of FG leader Simon) charity Asiam for 2025 have been published. Another superb year!
Revenue at the charity surged by 54% from €2.4m to €3.7m
Most of the increase came from the HSE whose donation increased from €244,607 to €1,147,507
Other notable donors were the Irish (sic) Human Rights and Equality Commission, the €10m state-funded outfit of which Adam Harris is a commissioner.
And Rethink Ireland, which is partly state-funded, donated €139,378 compared to zero the previous year. Adam Harris is now on the board of Rethink Ireland.
Such a small world, and presumably Adam Harris excused himself as these organisations discussed donations to Asiam.
Most of the increased funding has gone on staffing, increased from 27 to 44, staff costs increase from €1.4m to €2.5m
Adama Harris was paid €98,595 compared to €97,500 the previous year (though the previous year's accounts put his pay in the €80-90k band, who knows)
€3.7m income wha'!
It was just over €100k when Adam's brother was first appointed to Cabinet in 2016.
What a superb job Adam Harris has done and in such a crowded field of state-funded autism charities. Well done to him!

Israel will never recover from this.
A UN hearing descended into chaos after Israel’s ambassador Danny Danon demanded the resignation of senior UN official Pramila Patten over a report that BLACKLISTED Israel for conflict related sexual violence.
When UN official Vanessa Frazier responded that the findings were based on “VERIFIED EVIDENCE,”
Danon cut her off:
“YOU WILL BE QUIET NOW.”
Yes. Per The Intercept (internal Meta docs): Israel's gov't requested removals of posts supportive of Iran, critical of Israel, & missile impact footage during the recent war. Meta complied with some.
Separately, leaked data showed Meta acted on Israeli requests to remove over 90k posts (mostly anti-Israel/pro-Palestine) since Oct 2023, at ~94% rate. Standard gov't flagging process; Meta says it reviews by policy.
Two small island economies blew up in 2008. Iceland and Ireland. Their names differ by one letter, and their handling of the crisis differed by everything that matters.
Iceland's three big banks, Kaupthing, Landsbanki, and Glitnir, had grown assets to roughly ten times the country's GDP by 2008. Pure credit-fueled madness. When the music stopped, the Icelandic government did the unthinkable: it let them fail. Bondholders ate the losses. The state refused to socialize private bank debt onto 320,000 citizens who never signed up for it. Capital controls went up, the króna collapsed, and the politicians actually prosecuted bankers. Twenty-six of them went to prison. Sigurður Einarsson and Hreiðar Már Sigurðsson, the men who ran Kaupthing, served real sentences.
Ireland took the opposite road. In September 2008, the Irish government issued a blanket guarantee covering the liabilities of its major banks, including Anglo Irish Bank, a property-lending casino that should have been allowed to die in peace. The taxpayer absorbed the bill. By the time the rescue ended, Ireland had poured around 64 billion euros into its banks, roughly 40 percent of GDP. The state took on private gambling debts, then went to the Troika in 2010 hat in hand for an 85 billion euro bailout, and accepted years of austerity to pay for losses it had no business owning.
Both economies recovered. Both eventually grew again. The difference is who paid and who learned. Iceland made creditors and reckless bankers bear the consequences of their own decisions, which is the entire point of capitalism: profit and loss, not profit and bailout. Ireland protected the people who made the bad bets and handed the invoice to schoolteachers and shopkeepers.
You will hear economists call Ireland's GDP rebound a triumph (much of that "growth" is multinational accounting fiction, Leprechaun economics, but that's another lesson). What they skip is the moral architecture. When you guarantee bank liabilities, you abolish the discipline that makes markets work. You tell every banker in the country that downside is optional.
Iceland jailed its bankers. Ireland reimbursed theirs.
