Nigerian schools are running 8am to 3pm schedules in a 2026 economy where a teenager with Canva skills earns more than a graduate with a certificate.

Close school by 12. Give the afternoon to skills. Coding, design, tailoring, content creation, welding, trading or whatever the child gravitates toward. Let them build something before adulthood ambushes them.

The current system is producing graduates for jobs that no longer exist, on a timetable designed for a century that has already ended.

As a man struggling to survive in this Tinubu era, where inflation has reduced salaries to survival allowances and dignity now fights transport fares every morning, you cannot afford to live without financial structure anymore.

Many people are still spending everything trying to look okay while gradually sinking deeper into economic pressure.

If you earn ₦150,000 monthly, break your life into survival and escape. Use about ₦50k for feeding, ₦20k for transport, ₦20k for rent and utilities, keep ₦10k aside for emergencies, reserve ₦30k for flexible expenses, and most importantly invest at least ₦20k every month into a side hustle or skill that can grow your income.

That small monthly investment into something like a laptop business, laundry service, logistics, online trade, graphics design, or tech skill could become the difference between permanent suffering and eventual stability.

This economy is punishing careless spending harder than low income itself. The men who may survive this decade will not necessarily be the highest earners, but the ones disciplined enough to build while suffering.
