So Uganda Prez Museveni's son, army chief Muhoozzi, allegedly threatened to castrate opposition leader Bobbi Wine, and also claims a bloodline directly to Jesus. Would be tragi-comic if not for fact he will likely succeed Papa Museveni. A new Idi Amin?

Press Release: Uganda’s Post-Election Repression and Threats Against Bobi Wine Trigger Urgent Call for Commonwealth Action, Including Sanctions and Indefinite Suspension
#URGENT 🇺🇬UGANDA | International Lawyer Calls for Commonwealth Suspension Over Rights Abuses
Robert Amsterdam ( @robertamsterdam ), international counsel for Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine, has called for Uganda’s suspension from the Commonwealth, citing “systematic repression and internal colonization” by the Museveni regime.
In a forceful statement, Amsterdam condemned ongoing threats to @HEBobiwine 's life, declaring:
“We are shocked and appalled by the calls to find President Wine ‘dead or alive.’ He has committed no crime other than winning the hearts of the Ugandan people.”
He urged international partners and donors to end complicity in Uganda’s human rights violations, invoking the 1991 Harare Declaration and Uganda’s own Constitution as frameworks now being violated.
“Uganda today is acting as an outlaw,” he said. “There are sanctions, there are mechanisms — no one should remain complicit.”
Context:
Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi) remains Uganda’s leading opposition figure.
His party accuses Museveni’s government of election fraud, torture, and political assassinations.

Ugandan authorities have intensified attacks on the country’s main opposition party since Jan 15 presidential elections, with mass arrests of National Unity Platform supporters and the forcible disappearance of two senior leaders, who remain missing. https://t.co/f2uxZM4DI1
Meanwhile, my two Party deputy presidents for Western and Northern Uganda are still missing, having been abducted by the military on the 14th and 15th, respectively. Apparently Museveni’s son has ordered the military not to produce them before court or return them to their families until he says so. Despite having been abducted in the presence of witnesses and even recorded on camera, the regime has filed court documents denying knowledge of their whereabouts. This is very urgent because these leaders could suffer the same fate as our 18 supporters who were forcefully disappeared in the last election and are missing to date. This is the STATE OF UGANDA in 2026. The world must not look on as these shocking atrocities persist.

The United States has signaled it may reassess its relationship with Uganda following controversial remarks by the country’s army chief, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairperson Jim Risch, in a post on X, said Muhoozi, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, had crossed a line with his statements, prompting Washington to consider reviewing its security partnership with Kampala.
