Hands represent so much of a person’s life in terms of the work they did, their hobbies & talents. In ones lifetime, hands may have painted, played piano, bandaged a cut, or wiped away tears. We celebrate the aging beauty of our residents hands on National Seniors Day
Ahead of the 2nd National Day for Truth and Reconciliation tomorrow @GW_OHT encourages partners to wear orange to acknowledge the legacy of intergenerational trauma by residential “schools” and centre the experiences and healing journey of Survivors.
Our flags are flying at half-mast to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today is an opportunity to honour and listen to survivors, victims and families of the Residential School System and offer remembrance for the Indigenous Children that lost their lives #NDTR🧡
