@sacha_coward One of the hardest things is to forgive yourself. My grandad preferred his carers doing those things for him than me. It meant that we could sit for a little while & just be together. When I remember him those later quiet moments just being are the ones I treasure the most.
@TamsinRussell Itโs one of the reasons I love being an assessor - I get to observe amazing practice, visit fabulous venues & collections and have insightful conversations around learning & engagement. I always come away with my own learning.

@HilaryMcGowan Enjoy the well deserved holiday!! The lovely highlight of hybrid conferences (which @gem_heritage are amazing at) is that the recordings will come out soon and we can return to refresh and reflect more learning
What happens when a bunch of museum & heritage learning peeps get together & they visit a load of venues? My timeline becomes filled with photos of either interpretation/exhibition panels & displays or fab dressing up models (aka sector colleagues). Iโm here for both ๐
Finally home after an amazing 3 days at @gem_heritage conference. Iโm still reflecting on & digesting so much of the amazing content. Some initial reflections 1/9
1st thoughts are around our role as custiodians and centring the community, engagement & learning is the way forward (this is the reaffirming part). Iโm sure more will come out in the coming days 8/9
