Recently published and open access: Spatiotemporal patterns of lion space use. Some strong patterns, despite ~few physical barriers. A follow-up on lion fence ecology is coming soon!

We published a short article on The Conversation, connected to our giraffe study which came out earlier this year. The article deals with species concepts, giraffes, and why all of this is a bit of a mess.

How can conservationists rewild the carbon cycle?

This paper provides considerations to design and monitor such programs, and to weigh social-ecological trade-offs.

@aalayna23 This was my era of re-learning realistic goal setting (b/c 3+ years of just saying "finish dissertation" and other not-immediately-achievable "To Do's" didn't bode well). Break it down by chapter/paper section. Snoop on future conferences and job boards to keep daydreaming!
Ultimately, we call for ecologically accurate, socially responsible, and ethical climate mitigation projects. Want to make your project comprehensive, but overwhelmed at where to start? We wrote this with the intent to provide scientists and practitioners with things to consider!
Excited about the potential of rewilding? We are, too! Bringing animals into ecosystems saves species *and* mitigates climate change by capturing and storing carbon. But it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. We dive into the complex contextual dependencies.
Hey, that's me! Very excited to have my first first-author paper published in Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution! This paper is based on my MS thesis work on spatial drivers of anticoagulant rodenticide exposure in Northeastern forest carnivores at @sunyesf@JacquiFrair
The @wildlifeevoeco lab is looking to recruit a cohort of up to four students at either the PhD or MSc level… Come work with us @MemorialU!!! Pls RT!
