@Sam_Vecenie@ScooterMcNeice You are only ever in this position due to base level negligence. If help is there then your incompetence and negligence is already out of the equation. We should be seeding stories of poor old Essendon 20’years no finals, it could be 20 more blah blah. Go hard and start begging
@readingtheplay1@Tommy_Wolfe7 Great article! I think you summed up both sides of this issue. as a supporter you don’t really know what’s going on. Personal observation coaching seems more art than science. Great coaches (all sports) seem to be more than just a little bit crazy so going with crazy may work
@BradKlibansky I think that’s why the bulldogs struggled after quarter time they are younger than they usually are. It helped the bombers not to be run over
@BradKlibansky Agree but as maxlaughton explained it gets more tv content in prime time out of thin air so it not going. The bottom 6-8 are locked in for next 2 seasons only nth &Melbourne chance to jump. Players paid too well to incentivise cash to move. Need trades wo consent for real changes
@maxlaughton I can’t see this changing much next season either. Maybe north can push up but the rest are looking a couple more years away at the very least. Call my a cynical Ess supporter but the afl will regret giving so much to the northern states and may do something equally stupid to fix
@BigRick555 These people need to flip the question and ask themselves would west coast have taken the Hawthorn picks for pick 2? Of course they wouldn’t, and im pretty sure that Richmond wouldn’t have for 3 or 4 nor would we have wanted one of those. So it’s simple - it wasn’t a good deal
@PaulSCousins@thebendingone I don’t see how 2022 is the turning point. We were going nowhere and had lost our generational forward a year earlier and then banked on the worst draft ever. The biggest mistake was not pulling the band aid off as soon as Brad got here - maybe the incumbent list manager said no
@PatrickRyen@essendonfc Should have been Tsastis. We are getting thrashed in the midfield but are doing nothing to better it. Anyway we will lose this. Better hope the second half of the year there is some improvement
@AnthP_ The issues are many but our midfield is completely broken. No run no pressure no clue! I see Brad has potted our leaders. I wonder if there is a stand off. Whilst I’m angry with Brad I think the “leaders” have been disgraceful and deserve the pain. None of them stood up.
@ScooterMcNeice Ironic there real only young player got the most votes! Very stable and mature team are the hawks. I think we were too young but that’s going to be our year - it’s going to be frustrating to watch
@AnthP_ Good write up. I thought Durham was good forward of the ball I would persist. Can’t see a role for Perkins and Langford together. No to May and wright in the same team again. I would bring in Kako and Gresham with the rookie to give us a different feel.
@AnthP_ I was onboard with you on that. Our midfield is same same no ball winner at the coal face. Bigger issue is forward line. What have the coaches been watching for the last 2 years? 1 small - a first gamer at that - is ridiculous.
