@TheKnownLover I like the gunplay in V too. I just think its two different approaches. IV is slower and puts a lot of emphasis on cover, while V is more fast-paced, combat rolling + abilities like Michael's or Trevor's that add another layer to the combat.
@guaranteed_O@Issybeatz_ Do you mean to ask why I used the word 'obligated' ? Everybody was expecting and hyping up a GTA VI to a point of it becoming something of a meme. Not even a hypothetical 'Red Dead 3' has as much demand. And GTA VII is decades away assuming it ever is made.
@Crystar800 I think GTA V deserves flowers for GTA Online's continued support and content. Theres a lot of really fun stuff in there that I feel like people write-off as soon as they hear about the occasional griefer (which has existed in every R* multiplayer since IV) or shark cards.
@erickstevens82 Honestly, you missed out. I know dogging on GTA Online is the popular opinion but it's one of the greatest multiplayer co-op experiences out there. Doing heists and missions with friends for hours was genuinely some of the most fun I've had playing a video game.
@YoungHelghast GTA3 is very different compared to the other 3D games. Its much more similar to GTA 1, London, 2, etc. in terms of its gameplay loop. The narrative, where there is one, takes a backseat for a large chunk of the gameplay. That's not for everyone.
@MagnoGetMoney The games were always meant to be theatric. GTA IV was dramatic but it was still hollywood-esque in MANY ways. But the games do have their moments where they want to get more narratively serious, and they're always very good.
@Wolfzee11 I don't see that happening, any marketing professional in the industry will tell you thats an awful idea --- Rockstar are the only people who can do that and actually not see any hurt in sales, literally.
@mbg_gg_ What can you do? What can I do? Nothing! Might as well accept it as the new status quo and move on, virtually every media industry has been moving in this direction for years. We knew this was coming.
