Starting tomorrow, Supreme court of India is on a six-week summer vacation and will be operating at just 19% of its capacity. There are 53 million cases pending in Indian courts - 93,143 of them are pending in the Supreme Court.
A judge can go on a vacation, a judiciary cannot.
BJP MP Ravi Kishan-
“I swear on Mahadev, I’ve no idea why I keep going viral.
I accidentally said ‘home from work’ instead of ‘work from home’.
I was on my way to Parliament and wanted to say I needed to ‘work from home’, but ‘home from work’ slipped out instead.
People look at me as if I’ve arrived from some completely different planet.
I’m just a human being, and I make mistakes exactly like everyone else.
Why you guys make me go viral is beyond my understanding."
Full blown clash at MEA presser as reporter asks "why should India be trusted".
MEA's Secy West @AmbSibiGeorge responds by India's role in providing global help during Covid, India's constitution, fundamental rights.
The reporter leaves the presser, then later comes back.
Welcome to Amrit Kaal, mitron!
When global crude oil prices plummeted, the Modi Government pocketed billions in profits, and now - 3 months after a completely predictable crisis - the public is being forced to absorb the pain.
This government’s crisis management is only to save Adani from prosecution, not to save the common public from economic shocks.
Instead of giving a plan on how the poor will be shielded from shocks, they are suffocating the people day by day.
The people are completely fed up with this regime and its mismanagement.
3 months into the Iran-US war and PM Modi is still clueless about ensuring India’s energy security.
It is shameless, reckless and downright immoral that the PM is pushing the common citizen into inconvenience, instead of building contingencies to ensure our economy is unaffected by this global crisis.
When elections and petty politics are the sole priority of the PM, the end result is an impending economic catastrophe.
The PM and his government must make all necessary arrangements to ensure we have ample fuel reserves and no citizen faces any hardship as a result of their lack of planning.
@BagulBabulal@sardesairajdeep@asmatasleem13 What do you mean? Governor should satisfy before giving the mantle. Here there is no such majority indicator or letter from the aspirant that he will Satish on the floor
The governor is entitled to seek letters of confirmation establishing a majority as per convention post 1996 13 day Vajpayee government. This is prima facie test. Once sworn in he can ask majority to be proved in floor test as per Bommai judgement. This is legal position.
