This is Waylon. He'd been in a shelter for 95 days when a woman came in with her son Cai "just to look around." They fell in love with Waylon. Cai asked so many great questions not only about Waylon's personality, but how to keep him safe and healthy with heartworm prevention and microchips. Shelter staff said they were truly blown away by this young man. When he returned to officially adopt Waylon, he arrived in a very dapper suit. When asked why, he simply replied that it was a "special occasion." Waylon and his new buddy are inseparable. 14/10 for everybody

🚨 Charleston PD Seeks Help Identifying Dog Abandonment Suspects 🚨
On October 8th, Animal Control officers responded to reports of a distressed Rottweiler left tethered on the West Ashley Greenway. The dog, found with injuries and no access to food or water, has since been rescued and adopted. Surveillance footage shows two individuals leaving the scene.

😭😭😭 I'm a cat person but this is my absolutely favorite feed. It brings a smile to my face everyday and Doug was a big part of that. He was such a good boy and will be missed but the legacy he created will live on. 💔🐾🌈 One ear salute to you in your honor! ^-~

Doug passed away Tuesday afternoon. He could no longer walk on his own and he told us it was time. He went so peacefully. He felt no pain. The sun was shining.

It was such an honor to be Doug's person. He taught me infinitely more than I taught him. I adopted him knowing he wouldn't be with me long, and I'm so incredibly grateful we got 3 years. We made the most of them.

Doug's presence had such a weight to it. He was impossible to ignore for many reasons, his size only one of them. I told him the foundation he inspired will help dogs well beyond his time here. I think he always thought that was pretty cool.

You're stardust again, Douggy. Come back to me in whatever form you like. I'll know it's you. And to whoever is with him now, please give him your love. He gave so much of his. 15/10 ❤️
