I love my wife. I love my children. I love my family. I love my friends. I’m a former, mediocre D1 athlete who wants common sense & fairness to return to sport!
Californians never voted to ban gas cars. Californians never voted to ban tires. Californians never voted for a new healthcare tax – to the contrary, they expressly forbade it.
We're fighting to protect the will of California voters from the schemes of Sacramento politicians.
And Obama Care will be cheaper, you can keep your doctor and the coverage will be better… oh wait. You are a fool if you really believe this. My thought is that you’re pandering to your perceived future electorate. For a guy who seems to do so incredibly well in the stock market (at least since you’ve been elected), have kids who own golf courses, and immense wealth, I really don’t think you give a crap about the people in the middle. You’re insulated from it all due to your wealth, while the rest of us continue to pay literally thousands a month for our family coverage and will only pay more as taxes are increased for this nonsense.
EXCLUSIVE: California quietly boosted taxpayer funding for a nonprofit founded by a sitting Assemblyman from $250,000 to $6 MILLION—a 2,300% increase.
Its latest IRS return reports zero employees, zero volunteers and only $57,667 in annual expenses.
Are you f'ing kidding me? TAXPAYERS are going to be paying for useless Karen Bass' re-election campaign?
Hasn't she fleeced L.A. residents enough? Endless local tax increases while the city collapses into chaos and squalor. This is OBSCENE corruption and I will outlaw it.
If Becerra is elected and we face another 4 years of one-party rule, the exodus of business from California will turn into a stampede. We are sleepwalking off the economic cliff.
Wake Up California!
@adamcarolla Obviously not a parent. Do these people ever actually talk to real people who want their kids to learn and succeed? Or is it just a drum circle of people who need to solve make believe grievances for no practical reason.
In their own legislation, CA politicians celebrate how inflicting financial pain on commuters with higher gas prices leads to “historic increases in ridership on public transportation”. Screw their crocodile tears…they love high gas prices and they do all this stuff on purpose. We are just the mindless lab rats who keep paying into it.
We reversed California’s ban on gas-powered cars so now the state is banning tires instead. This latest blow to common sense could cost drivers hundreds of dollars.
@MichaelGatesESQ Suggestion. Arrest, charge. Suspend drivers license. Impound all vehicles involved for a minimum of 30 days. Every time. If these are consistently applied, these “gatherings” will happen much less often.
Here’s how I would solve the homeless situation in LA with one decision.
I would cut the “homeless budget” from almost $1B to just $20m.
The non-profits would dissolve because there’s no more money to steal, resulting in a lack of free drugs/tents/etc that keeps the homeless on the streets and encourages those from other cities and states to come camp out here.
Reduction in the homeless would follow.
Ro, “in your scenario, the founder could sell to pay a one time 5 percent tax or the state could sell it if he defaults on the loan”
Ro, this is the biggest fuck you in the history of entrepreneurship. Ever.
Creating jobs but don’t have cash. Fuck you
Can’t sell shares, we will sell it for you, to whoever. Fuck you.
Creating jobs. Paying great wages instead of taking cash out yourself. Fuck you
Reinvesting into your company and community. Fuck You.
Don’t you know that Jensen, and Lisa Su, and people who have vast amounts of liquidity already have no problem with it. Fuck You
There is a huge difference between someone with liquidity , running a huge public company, and someone who has dedicated every minute of who knows how many years, to building a company, to finally have a dream financing come true , only to be insulted by a politician. “We will sell your shares for you “
GTFO
@MeghanMcCain And for what? More wasted $ without results. I won’t vote for 1 more dollar of taxes until CA can actually accomplish something on time and on budget. Of course they don’t care about me. They just pander to get votes with the promise of “free stuff. “
Excellent point. WHO and where will the money go? CA has zero credibility when it comes to spending tax dollars wisely. Infrastructure bond measures, train&water have been abject failures. Homeless billions, where did that money go. Certainly not towards solutions. Now the plan is to drive out the producers and innovators to throw more money away. Until they can hold up their end of the bargain, I say NO!
