There is no longer any stigma attached to having an IEP. Take it from someone that has been through it, and has come soooo far because of it!

I thank god my parents did this for me and supported this. Look where I am now!!!! I am about to have my masters degree in leadership and have an amazing career! Advocate for your child! If you don’t, who will?!? Give them what they need and deserve.

I remember studying for hours upon hours in high school to be able to graduate with a decent gpa to go to college. It wasn’t as easy for me as it was for most of my peers. But with the support of my teachers and parents, I pushed through to get to my goals. where I would be!

Honest moment here!!! I did not learn how to read until FIFTH GRADE!!! Because my parents advocated for me, and I eventually got the IEP I really needed, I got the support I needed. School was extremely difficult for me. I had to work harder than most.

Being a teacher can be very difficult in ways you cannot imagine unless you are in the professor yourself. It can be a very thankless job. There are special people that you work with that make those difficult times worth it when you least expect it! Thank you Mrs Snipe!
