Alright you glorious little storm-gremlins, here’s the deets. 🌶️🌧️🌨️
Both the GFS and Euro global deterministic models are finally starting to agree (for once in their lives) on the possibility of a pretty potent storm system impacting our region toward the middle and end of next week, mainly Thursday into Friday, possibly lingering into the weekend.
Here’s the rundown:
🌊 Phase 1: Moving onshore in California
A storm will move into California and then dive southeast into the Desert Southwest and Four Corners Wednesday into Thursday.
This will spread lower-elevation rain and mountain snur across western Colorado as early as Tuesday, continuing into Wednesday.
🌪️ Phase 2: The main show
As the system slides across the Four Corners and pushes east of the Rockies on Thursday, things get spicy.
We’re talking about the potential for a this storm to move off the mountains and undergo cyclogenesis (strengthening cyclone for you precious little chicken nuggets).
If the ingredients come together just right, we could be looking at a high-impact storm across Colorado, Wyoming, Nebrasky, and Kansas Thursday through Friday.
🤔 But… LOTS of Questions still need answers
And I mean lots 🤣
• What will the exact storm track be?
• Will temperatures be cold enough for snur, or are we mixing in rain at lower elevations?
• How long does the storm linger before ejecting east?
• How much rain or snur are we potentially looking at?
• Is the storm track going to shift again? (Probably. You know how this goes.)
Model fluctuations over the next several days are extremely likely, so I’m not comfortable pushing out snowfall or rainfall totals yet. It’s too early, too chaotic, and too Marilyn Manson-complicated.
But trust me, I’m watching it closely.
Keep checking in with me, stay patient, and the moment I have a better read on how things might go down, I’ll pass every detail along to you like I always do. ❤️🌩️
K thanks bye
Champ Bailey just said Colorado had the 2nd hardest schedule in college football 🏈 and they lost 8 players to the NFL. Honestly that’s hard to overcome and that’s just a storm that you got to press your way through.
