When I came to the United States, my flatmate was an Indian girl. She had run out of money and could not pay two months' rent. I paid her rent, not as a loan, but simply to help her. She was studying on institutional funding and relied on part time work to cover her living expenses. Unfortunately, she broke her leg. Her family are farmers from Gujarat, India, and she believed she would have to return home and freeze her semester because she had no savings left.
For those two months, I paid her rent, cooked her meals, and even changed my room to make the apartment more accessible while she recovered. She recently graduated and returned back to India.
In our culture, talking publicly about the financial help we give to others is considered inappropriate. But after reading your tweet, I felt compelled to say this that no one should treat another human being this way, regardless of whether they are Pakistani, Indian, or from anywhere else.
What saddened me most was your decision to deny food to a passenger simply because he introduced himself that he was a Pakistani.
Even if you did that, you should not have come to Twitter and shared it as though it were an achievement. If your parents were to read this tweet, I believe they would feel ashamed, because this is not the kind of compassion or humanity they would have hoped to instill in you.

Let me share my experience with Pakistani, I was 23 when I joined Huawei software cell in dubai, first time out of the country and figuring things out.
My room was almost 10-12km away from office.
I would travel via public bus service, and it was not that frequent.
Because we were starting a new project the work would stretch beyond 8PM.

My Pakistani lead would drop me back even when he lived opposite of were I lived he would drop me and then drive all the way back crossing the office again towards his place.
And then after a while I came to know that he has a disabled child who needed more of his attention.
And countless similar gestures. A lot of what I am today professionally is due to him.

But assholes like you will always be there to spoil our image.

When we were kids we did not have a phone line at home, and my father worked far away in the Middle East. Some times we wouldn’t see him for many months and up to a year at a time.

So my mom would record audio cassettes with our voices (reciting poems etc we would learn at school, or just talking to him) and send to my dad so he could hear them on repeat.

My sister found and saved some of the tapes, and I heard them today. Was an emotional afternoon!

راشد کو والد کا نام عبدالرازق یاد ہے۔والدہ کا نام یاد نہیں ہے۔
یہ اکلوتا بھائی تھا۔ تین بہنیں تھیں۔بڑی بہن گونگی تھی ،دوسری بہن کا نام عائشہ اور تیسری کا نام رمشہ تھا۔
والد مستری کا کام کرتا تھا۔گھر میں اردو بولتے تھے۔
کراچی میں گھر کے قریب پاپے بنانے والی فیکٹری تھی۔پندرہ منٹ کے پیدل فاصلے پر پہاڑی تھی۔
ایک طرف راشد کی حالیہ تصویر ہے اور دوسری طرف بچپن کی۔
راشد والدین کا اکلوتا بیٹا تھا نجانے ماں اپنے شہزادے کے لئے کس کرب سے گزری ہوگی۔ جس بیٹے نے بڑے ہوکر ماں باپ کا سہارا بننا تھا وہ بھری جوانی میں لاوارث ہے ۔

اس بچے کے ورثاء کی تلاش کے لئے ہم نے چند روز قبل پوسٹ لگائی تھی لیکن تاحال ورثاء نہیں ملے۔
بچہ کراچی ملیر پولیس کو ملا تھا ،اس وقت سندھ چائلڈ پروٹیکشن کی حفاظت میں ہے۔
بچہ جب ملا تھا تو کانوں سے سنتا نہیں تھا۔
چائلڈپروٹیکشن کی انتظامیہ نے ڈاؤ اسپتال سے ٹیسٹ کروائے تو پتہ چلا بچے کو آلہ لگایا جائے تو سننے کے قابل ہوسکتا ہے۔
پہلے ڈیوائس کی قیمت پچاس ہزار بتائی گئی تھی۔ لیکن پھر معلوم ہوا وہ سب سے ہلکی کوالٹی ہے جسمیں شور ہوتا ہے آواز صاف نہیں رہتی۔
گزشتہ کل ہم چائلڈ پروٹیکشن عملے کے ساتھ کلینک گئے وہاں اچھی ڈیوائس کا انتخاب کیا جسکی قیمت ایک لاکھ ستر ہزار روپے بعد از ڈسکاؤنٹ طے ہوا۔
الحمدللہ دوستوں کی مدد سے پیسے مکمل ہو گئے۔ کل بچے کی ناپ لی گئی ان شاءاللہ ایک ہفتے بعد تیار ہوکر لگے گی۔
بچے کو جب آزمائش کے لئے آلہ لگا تو چہرے کے تاثر سے پتہ چلا کہ پہلی بار کچھ سننے کو ملا ہے۔
ڈاکٹر کے بقول ڈیوائس لگنے کے چند ماہ بعد بچہ رسپانس کرےگا جب وہ سن کر کچھ الفاظ سیکھےگا۔ اس پر خصوصی محنت کی ضرورت ہے کوئی ٹیچر اسکے ساتھ باتوں میں مصروف رہے گا تو یہ بات کرنا سیکھےگا ورنہ نہیں۔
اس بچے کی پوسٹس ہر جگہ چلی ہیں لیکن ورثاء نہیں مل رہے۔
بچہ ماشاءاللہ بہت پیارا اور معصوم ہے۔
اگر بالفرض ورثاء نے بوجھ سمجھ کر اس پھول جیسے بچے کو چھوڑا ہو اور ہمارا یہ پیغام ان تک پہنچ رہا ہو تو وہ یاد رکھیں کہ کل قیامت کے روز یہ تم سب کو گریبان سے پکڑ کر سوال کرےگا کہ اتنی ننھی عمر میں مجھے کیوں دربدر کیا؟
خدارا اب بھی وقت ہے اپنی آخرت بچائیں آکر بچہ لیکر جائیں
