Watched Johnson Brock beat Kearney High this summer in a close game, thats when i was introduced to them. So disciplined, always make the right play, defend and rebound. Top 25 team in the state in my opinion. #nebpreps

Incredible sequence by @JB_Eagles in the 73-32 win in the State Quarterfinals. Johnson-Brock improves to 27-1 & is 2 wins away from its third consecutive title

With the Nebraska High School Basketball Season just over 1 long month away, here are my early favorites for the Gold for Boys‼️
Notes:
A: Millard North reloads with talent including arguably the top PG in Gallatin, but look out for Papio South, Westside, Kearney, and Prep.
B: A Skutt vs Norris rivalry should continue, but Dylan Simons and a younger Glock has entered the chat👀
C1: A loaded 2024 class graduated, so who takes over? Nepple is the best player in the class, so the nod goes to the Patriots. Look out for improved young talent by Doniphan-Trumbull and Ogallala as my current Top 3 contenders, while teams like Cozad and Ashland-Greenwood will also have top individuals that can lead depth.
C2: Lincoln Lutheran is gone, so the young and skilled players at GICC look to take over after a year of varsity experience for several talented players. Northeast Nebraska rounds out the Top 4 contenders, as Summerland, Cedar Catholic, and Elkhorn Valley should all be great contenders as well. Tough schedules for all four teams.
D1: Johnson-Brock is the obvious choice, returning arguably the 3 best players in Class D1 in the Dalinghaus twins and Koehler.
D2: SEM gets the early nod with depth returning, but it will not be easy to get by St. Mary’s, Archangels Catholic, or Ansley-Litchfield.
