Ichiro Suzuki was ejected exactly once in his entire MLB career. It happened on September 26, 2009 in Toronto after he argued a called third strike in the fifth inning. One ejection over that many seasons makes the footage feel almost out of character.
Ichiro spent his career looking controlled and measured, which is why seeing him finally cross the line with an umpire stands out so much.
Anthony Davis has revealed he “felt heavy” playing center during his final season with the Lakers and asked the team to bring in another big man.
Davis said he bulked up from his usual 250–255 pounds to around 265–268 pounds because he knew he’d be battling centers like Nikola Jokić and Joel Embiid.
He tried losing the weight during the season, but said doing so while playing heavy minutes was difficult.
Davis eventually asked the Lakers to add another big so he could move back to power forward.
Just weeks later, Davis was traded to Dallas for Luka Doncic.
Now the Lakers have paid $130M for a specialty center.
