https://t.co/cahcdqLPnk @ALTERforATX — Would you ask @austinenergy to prioritize the area south of Spicewood Springs west of 183 between Saber Creek and where Spicewood turns back towards 360? We were out for a total of at least 39 hours from Thurs->Sun (some areas worse!).
@cbsaustin@KXAN_News@KVUE Your new stories all repeat the @austinenergy claim of “random” rolling outages, but the map hasn’t changed substantially since 2am. Places in 78759 had more than 6 hours of outages yesterday, 2 hours of power from midnight to 2, after days out before.
@austinenergy We have has 42 hours out over 5 days and we’re out for almost 4 hours leading up to midnight last nigh. Ours homes still had not warmed up at 2 when it turned off. Please prioritize turning us back on!
@ALTERforATX Yet again, District 6 holds the dubious distinction of having more than half the customers with no power from @austinenergy — Between noon on Thursday and 6 am today, we saw about 35 hours with no power; had a good 14 hours today, but out again now.
@ALTERforATX 3,761 customers are without power again this morning. It’s the only reported outage in Austin and nearly all in your district. There is no restoration estimate. A letter defending @austinenergy is no comfort. We need power, or at least detailed status updates so we can plan.
@ALTERforATX Your district is yet again without power, with no estimate for restoration despite being the only part of Austin listed as down. Please ask @austinenergy to do better.
@ALTERforATX@austinenergy Many (most?) of us have electric heat. We need to know if we have to give up, drain pipes, and leave while we can. Temperatures in the high 20s are inconvinenent, but temperatures in the single digits are dangerous with no source of heat. We need more detail than “working on it”
@ALTERforATX – The same 1,300+ people in your district who just had no power for a full day, with other short outages, have had no power since 10 this morning. Many (most?) have electric heat. @austinenergy won’t give us estimated restoration times, making planning impossible.
I live in the middle of this map; the power has been off since 5:44, after being off from 3 yesterday until 3:31 today. Why is there no outage even marked!? @ALTERforATX, @MayorAdler — please at least make @austinenergy acknowledge the outage!
@austinenergy@ALTERforATX@MayorAdler this outage is NOT fixed! I think that this makes it a dozen times that I have been texted saying that it is incorrectly. No power and no gas so no heat! Please at least record correctly that it’s been out for over 20 hours.
@austinenergy this outage started at 3 yesterday. Your system has thought it fixed a dozen times. I appreciate that your crews are working hard but I’m afraid that they will never get to us if they don’t know that our area has been without power for 20+ hours (electric heat!)
@ALTERforATX we have been without power for more than 18 hours. The @austinenergy text system and outage map have reported it fixed at least 6 times. I just drove around the area to check and no one has had power the whole time. No gas for heat in the area. What do we do?
@austinenergy we have been without power for more than 18 hours in an area with no gas for heat. Your reporting system keeps showing it fixed, but I drove around to check with neighbors and it’s clearly not.
What do we do?
