Don't be the pastor or the Christian that will just tell people what their itching ears want to hear. Don't do that. Do what's right and leave the results to God.
I have often been asked, “What is the hardest prayer you have ever prayed?”
It was the prayer I prayed on the worst day of my life—July 24, 2008. That was the day my son, Christopher David Laurie, was unexpectedly called home to Heaven.
That was 18 years ago today. Although the pain was overwhelming, I experienced God’s presence that day in a way I never had before. I discovered that even in our deepest sorrow, God draws near. He may not immediately answer every question, but He promises never to leave us—and that promise gives us hope.
I reflect on that experience in this video. If you are walking through a devastating loss today, my prayer is that it will remind you that you are not alone. God is with you, He will sustain you, and one day He will wipe away every tear.
Grace does not excuse your sin, it breaks its chains.
If you have fallen, run to Christ.
If you are weary, lean on Christ.
If you are afraid, look to Christ.
His mercy is not fragile. His Gospel still saves.
Ask yourself these questions today....
Have I ever failed to obey God because I feared rejection by other people?
Am I willing to serve God and others when no one is watching?
Is my private life consistent with my public life?
Do I love the praise of men more than I love the praise of God?
Be sure to check your motives and serve God with your whole heart.

Are you going through a hard time?
As we go through life, there are many things that will not make sense to us. We will experience brokenness and confusion, and it will feel like heaven is absolutely silent.
In the Book of Job, God allowed the devil to bring hardship on Job because the devil didn’t think Job could love God just for who He is. (Read Job 1:6-12.)
If you need encouragement or understanding, this message is for you.
