@nytimes Helpful for some but not most. I have no line of sight of being able to renew a 5yo child’s passport. So whilst we can return to the US to see family after 18mos separation we would not be able to return to our home abroad with expired passport. #openUSconsulates

@dmillertimmis @USAinUKConsular I agree. It’s just not good enough. I unfortunately don’t have the leisure of logging in Thursday mornings at 7am and refreshing browser every 3min in hopes of getting 1 of 8 appointments each week. I’m likely to get UK citizenship & passport faster.

@USAinUKConsular It is disappointing that there is no information or line of sight of when I can renew my child's passport. It's been a tough year for those separated from family and having one of your children without any valid passport only adds to uncertainty. 🤞🏼
