DJ Unk’s impact on hip-hop culture is undeniable and his contributions will be remembered forever. Known for his iconic hits “Walk It Out” and “2 Step”, Unk shaped the sound of southern hip-hop and became one of the pioneers of “snap music.” From high school proms to wedding receptions and NFL stadiums, his signature sound and dances crossed the globe and influenced countless dances that followed. Unk’s music became the soundtrack to so many memories, from teenage years to college experiences - and his music still resonates today. Unk’s legacy lives on through the artists he inspired and the timeless records he gifted us. He will always hold a special place in the story of 2000s hip-hop. Rest In Peace DJ Unk.
