@DevinDVote And the war on bikes and pedestrians has begun! Woohoo. So glad you and your colleagues are focusing on the real issues our province faces. ๐ก
The Keystone pipeline has had regulatory approval on the Canadian side since 2010. The regulatory uncertainty came from the US, not from Canada, on this line. Come on, Premier, even you know this.
โBreaking: Alberta minister quietly lifted the coal moratorium (again), meaning Albertans are about to see a lot more coal activity in our mountains. This reverts protections and lifts the suspensions on any approvals paused under the previous orders.

1. This stunning image of Sofia Raffaeli from Italy has the internet buzzing with curiosity.
(3/3) grace as many of our residents and businesses navigate this loss and turn to the future rebuilding of our community. Know that we will be back. Our mountains have stood tall for millions of years, and Jasper will stand tall through this.ย

Hearing the news from Jasper is absolutely devastating, and then my mom sends me this photo of the fire approaching Golden BC. Our house is on this hillside. I canโt wrap my head around this. #bcfire#abfire
Instead of political attacks maybe take all that energy and direct it to the citizens of Jasper. Letโs all come together as Albertans to support them and the city in every way we can
I just heard back from senior staff at Fairmont JPL:
"...We can confirm that the fire has reached the Fairmont #Jasper Park Lodge grounds, however, we are unclear on the extent of damage. At this time, we know that parts of the resort remain untouched."
Parts.

Shocked and heartbroken to see the townsite of Jasper reached by wildfire.
We pray for the safety of all those who have evacuated from the community and for the firefighters and first responders who have a very difficult fight ahead of them.
@ABDanielleSmith I hope to hear how the Alberta government will invest to mitigate the impact of forest fires. Thoughts and prayers afterward are not enough. I hope not to hear how this is the feds fault.
The pictures from Jasper are devastating.
Destruction of peopleโs homes and livelihoods is hard to watch.
I have seen the impact of fires up close in communities all over Canada.
Our hearts are with all those evacuated and everyone responding to this crisis.
