Strong to severe thunderstorms continue to roll through the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest this evening. Make sure your family and friends are prepared to take action if a thunderstorm approaches your location.
6:30p: Zooming out a bit, this line appears to be doing a bit of a DC split, with that cell we talked about tracking north of the Beltway, and the severe cells veering well south of the Beltway.
6:27p: Not severe at the moment, but could see gusty winds and some hail along with a brief downpour as this cell tracks near and north of Leesburg and then into central MoCo next ~30 min
6:05p: That next line of storms, which should be the last of the day, now reaching our far western suburbs. Should affect the immediate metro area from west to east around 6:30-7:30.
