Spent the past months with my associates #retrofitting a @Nissan leaf engine into a 07 @VWGroup Polo. We had to create new components using @Raspberry_Pi and @arduino to make incompatible parts talking together. The polo key starts the EV engine, and RPMs are sent on polo dash.
@pressy4pie@Nissan@VWGroup@Raspberry_Pi@arduino This is what our « prototype » board looks like 😅 We’ll explain all components in our talk. Still need to make it cleaner and put it in the car in the next days. We’re also receiving the batteries this week but we won’t have enough time to integrate the BMS before the talk.

@pressy4pie@Nissan@VWGroup@Raspberry_Pi@arduino Nice! If you’re not attending ElixirConf we can schedule a call. We would also love some feedback on our can library if this is something useful in your case. We will release more of our work in open source in the next weeks/months https://t.co/tNtyoaSoxZ
@jachin_m@Nissan@VWGroup@Raspberry_Pi@arduino@CSS_Electronics What we built is basically a can aggregation layer that listens and writes to the Nissan can, VW confort and drive can busses + our bus between our components, the OVCS can. So monitoring can be done for all of these individually by using usb can loggers. Is that what you meant?
@mathemagie @martinvanaken If you want to play around and create Lunii stories with AI, then check this out: https://t.co/2TIxPOiRJd and let me know how it plays out ;) I don’t have the bandwidth to try it myself.
