I think the biggest thing missing from the Padres under Preller is the infusion of young talent. Not all prospects will work out but it’s a numbers game. When you got a high number of talented guys as the Padres currently do a couple should pan out. The beautiful thing too is they give you roster flexibility you can option them down when they struggle. Whereas a Matt Carpenter type you’re stuck with them because of their contract. The org and fanbase needs to exercise patience because the young players are vital to the future success of the team. I remember many giving up on Camp early.

It was only appropriate that the #Padres wasted Blake Snell’s latest 6-inning shutout performance, losing yet another one-run game, 2-1, to the #SFGiants.
The Padres are now 7-23 in one-run games this season, the worst one-run record in MLB since 1935.
