@RepYvetteClarke@TheDemCoalition Acquittal in an impeachment proceeding does not protect Trump from criminal liability. Indeed, his continued exposure to criminal prosecution will drive many of his decisions over the next year. We need to throw him out and then be sure that the new president prosecutes him.
@BarackObama@KamalaHarris@Tim_Walz It may be time to reevaluate that point of view. Good, generous, honest and fair are not attributes that seemed to be in play during this election.
@ZaleskiLuke It's not a question of forgetting; I never forget what Trump has done. But it does get overwritten or obscured by subsequent actions or remarks that are seemingly more ridiculous than the previous. Dealing with Trump's history as a public figure is like an archaeological dig.
@joshtpm Loss of faith in our institutions extends way beyond just government institutions. It includes loss of faith in the media, religious institutions and corporate entities. Creeping corruption and eroding ethics are affecting ALL our institutions and may goeth before the fall.
@MuellerSheWrote Unless it is effectively an order, an *authorization* from DOJ for Jack Smith to file an appeal does not necessarily mean that a decision has been made to appeal.
@SpeakerPelosi All violence - political or otherwise - SHOULD have no place in our society. But, Mde Speaker, as you well know violence is as American as apple pie and shows no signs of ever going away.
@KeithOlbermann Sebastian Gorka may be a racist, but not because he called Kamala Harris "colored". Many British people refer to people of mixed race as colored. Also we frequently refer to "people of color". How is this any different?

@Wimbledon A lot of us would like to watch the highlights without knowing who won the match. Why can't you simply say Djokovic versus Fearnley without saying "Novak survives". The highlights are already much too short for a potential 5 set match This adds a real spoiler.
I hope everyone understands that if he gets elected one of the first things Trump is going to do is to put his face on the money. It could cause the value of the American dollar to collapse.
@KatiePhang I read this as the Judge saying that Trump deserves to be in jail for violating the gag order, but he is reluctant to order him there because he is former & possible future POTUS. So the judge will give him one more chance. IOW, Trump is above the law.
@JaredRyanSears You seem to be phrasing this in the passive tense as if it's something happening TO us, as opposed to something that we ourselves have caused to happen. Perhaps it is WE that have changed the politics, no?
@gtconway3d Looking at my country from outside we seem to have become a common, crass, mean and petty people. The veneer of respectability and dignity has worn off, perhaps revealing what was always there.
@AWeissmann_ I really think it would be a good idea to dramatize the daily transcripts in People v Trump. You did it for the indictments and I think it would be even better for the testimony.
@MuellerSheWrote@7Veritas4 Trump is the Oracle. He wants everybody to glean deep meaning and significance from his otherwise meaningless nonsensical utterances. And it seems like we are obliging him by doing so. Sometimes gibberish is just gibberish.
