Cloth masks do little to stop the spread of COVID.
Our utter failure to communicate this gives high risk people a false sense of security to engage in high risk activities as long as they have their cloth mask!
The lore of the cloth mask endangers lives.
The USA is an unusual place, our "experts" not only have exaggerated the evidence they appear to ignore what is happening in Europe
The media exaggerates the certainty & creates mask mandate politics
It's sad and embarrassing to watch as a scientist

It’s absolutely insane to me that despite overwhelming evidence showing COVID is spread through aerosols, NOT large droplets, that health organizations are still focusing on masks and the 6 foot rule which are basically useless for aerosolized pathogens
Just another example of credentialism, in this case instead of academia in the private world. If you have the passion for it, you will do what it takes, no matter what, regardless of your background. I choose will over formal study any day.
Joe Biden’s top covid advisor just went on CNN and admitted the masks people are wearing don’t work against covid. As I’ve been saying, this is all just cosmetic theater. https://t.co/bB58Up5GXN
1/ With the pandemic finally, thankfully winding down in the US, I thought I'd compare the COVID death curves of high, intermediate and low-stringency states. Despite a large surge in Spring 2020, the high-stringency states still saw a similar surge this past winter.

It's now acknowledged that COVID-19 is primarily transmitted by tiny aerosols generated through NORMAL breathing—not coughing, or flying spit globules.
Based on what we already KNEW about these respiratory aerosols, this should have meant MASKS OUT.

So far, they’ve only suppressed the vaccine until after the election, lied about the efficacy of the vaccine and masks, exaggerated the danger to and from children to appease the unions, and banned people for speculating about the origins of the virus.
But believe the science!
Adjusted risk!!! If you cannot understand this, you are out of your mind. How low prevalence has to be for <24 to be near the risk of hoping on the car to go to school (0.11)? I will tell you, less than 10%.
Rasmussen blocked me back in the winter for asking why Illinois had a higher death rate than Florida. Now Yamey has blocked me for wondering why Iowa and Texas saw a decline in cases after lifting restrictions. Can't shake the feeling some of these experts are frauds.
Legitimate curiosity about adequate assessment of adverse events in vulnerable sub-populations or questions about long term off-target or nonspecific effects does not make one "anti".
Are those who question the necessity of HepB vaccine at birth "anti-vaxxers"? Hell, what about those questioning HepB vaccine mandated for school attendance? Or those who who want long-term health outcome data that includes assessment of off-target & non-specific effects?
I wonder if the term "anti-vaxxer" is beginning to backfire on the Pharma-PR conglomerates that created it. Logical people can see that this denigrating, slanderous term is applied to people asking genuine & legitimate questions.
@KCosta_41 @thadbrown7 The fact is NO ONE knows the long term effects of this vaccine. If someone isn’t comfortable taking it that is there own choice. Not to mention other factors regarding vaccine choice that are personal (history of autoimmune in family, allergies, gut health, etc).
@ChillboSwagnz69 @JSpenceTheKing Science isn’t truth though. It’s a process that is constantly evolving. There have clearly been advances in medicine that looked good at the time but turn out to have major side effects
