Do your students know how to correctly print the letters of the alphabet, both upper and lower case, and name the letters in and out of order? Research says they should!! @ReadingRockets

Never assume that Ss can print letters independently just because they are exposed to the letters on a daily basis. Students need explicit instruction, with daily opportunities for repeated practice, and immediate corrective feedback to reach automaticity.

Purrfect Pairs is an easy way for students kindergarten plus to learn their word families. They will match words and look for the proper pair. This is a great way for students to stay engaged and to better their literacy skills while having fun 🍎⁦@PJLanguageArts⁩

Students are using math manipulatives during play. This student sorted the different fruits by colour & type of fruit. So awesome to observe students learning through play! @EY_uwindsor
