Grade 3s at @FIecoleCentral have done the sweetest thing for their furry friends at the Humane Society of Greater Niagara! Students visited the animals and wrote persuasive letters on why they should get adopted. This will definitely help lots of pets find their furever homes!😍
Less than 2 weeks until showtime! Beauty & the Beast directors, actors & backstage crew putting some polish and final touches in preparation for our performances! @FIecoleCentral@dsbn@MrsLGrayson@mlle_stricko

Grade 3's learned about the story of the amazing quilters of Gee's Bend, Alabama. Today, they tried their hand at using scrap materials to make beautiful works of art. Students were inspired by the bright colours, patterns and rectangular shapes used by this quilting community.
The perfect science project for our snowy day!
Grade 3's made their own hockey arenas to create a table hockey game. They explored the impacts of force on an object (the puck) and played with elements of friction by adding different textures to the surface of their rink 🏒🥅
A little robo-party for my favourite engineers! 🤖
Grade 3's celebrated their accomplishments as their robot foot faced the final test. So proud of their hard work and determination throughout this build!
The Wild Robot design project is off to a great start! Grade 3's are using recycled materials to create a strong, stable foot that is custom-made to fit and support the weight of their friend Roz 🤖🦿
A beautiful day for fall planting!
Grade 3's spent some time learning about tulips and got their hands dirty by planting tulip bulbs. We can't wait to see them bloom in spring and add a pop of colour to our lovely school 🌷💐
Exploring outdoors just got cooler 🔍
Grade 3's got to test out our brand new magnifying glasses (thanks to @DSBNOutdoorED) to gather the best leaves for our fall visual arts project 🍁
Today Grade 3's used toothpicks and gummies to explore strong shapes in structures. At first, our cube structures could barely support their own weight. When we rebuilt using triangles 🔺, our structures proved to be strong and stable! 💪🏻
Dots, dots and more DOTS!!! Inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, Grade 3's followed a guided drawing and made their own dotted pumpkins 🎃
We added a tie dye element with bingo dabbers to give them a pop of colour 🎨
