1. We did not assert that this was a widespread practice across Africa, thar is the strawman version of our argument. We’re highlighting its prevalence in pastoral centered communities in Africa as well as Asia and beyond
@JoseJBronze@sonofeviscxxx@MelaninDominant The main point is that it’s idiotic to try and label this as a cultural flaw unique to Africa when It has been documented in pastoral cattle-keeping societies in parts of Africa and Asia, and elsewhere (claims in Europe and New Zealend etc.)
@JoseJBronze@sonofeviscxxx@MelaninDominant Correction, he’s not “mentally ill”, just practicing insufflation or “cow blowing” an ancient practice many pastoralists communities did as it was thought to help the cow produce milk. cow blowing was historically practiced in South Africa as well.
