*glares at @mlp_clipper then goes back to her pile of notebooks, grabbing a two-tone blue one*
*she scribbles “spread rumors of being so obsessed with ships, that they are competing with Princess @mlp_Cadance to be top shipper”*
*she blinks at @mlp_clipper*
First geese, and now bees?
I think you may want to get advice from Ms. @mlp_Fluttershy if you are trying to become an animal handler, Soarin.
*smirks*
*she nods at @mlp_clipper*
Noted.
This is why I take notes.
*she glances down to her notebook*
This is also why I keep full notebooks for my notes.
*chuckles*
*nods*
I agree, @mlp_clipper.
Which is why I chose this particular friend.
I should probably also mention that my friend is a…
*a bit of a high pitch squeak in her voice at the end of her statement*
…she’s a retired member of the Nightguard that served Princess Luna.
And yes, I know somepony who had to know aerial combat tactics at their previous job.
She even knows how to ensure safety, from occasionally training others.
I’ve actually already talked to her about what to do if this ends up… being approved.
*her hesitation is back*
*sighs*
Well, I have less confidence now that you put it like that, @mlp_clipper.
It’s why I said I wanted to run it by you and the captain.
It’ll still be a typical dogfight, with flags and such.
*she shakes off a bit of hesitation*
/THAT/ is where my plan comes in.
*she has a grin as she nods at @mlp_clipper*
You see, Whiplash told me he had a rather high fascination without dogfight events.
*of course she’s not relaying his exact words*
So I’d like to propose that we give him a dogfight, to see what he’s really made of.
But in order to ensure safety, he needs to face a flyer who is:
1) not part of the Wonderbolts
2) can match his tactics
and
3) still have the ability to ensure his safety
When he realized it was more so about matching my aerial maneuvers, rather than doing them better, he calmed down and showed a more precise style.
Does that make sense, @mlp_clipper?
Elementary, my dear @mlp_clipper.
You see, his recklessness has only been present with me when it comes to competition.
His race with me before the Canterlot 500; then with our most recent session, he was going full throttle until he realized what we were doing.
I’ve determined that his behavior may not be entirely rooted in recklessness, but rather in competitiveness.
*nods as she continues on*
If we can give him a real challenge, @mlp_clipper, it may help curb his competitive urges and help him focus a bit more on what we tell him.
Well, @mlp_clipper, I do have an idea.
But I just want to be sure the captain is okay with it.
You see, I think I figured something out about our extremely self-confident cadet.
*she begins flipping through her notebook*
*shakes her head*
No, it was exciting.
But I think we can both agree that excitement at the cost of safety is not good for a Wonderbolt’s well being.
I don’t like the thought of having risked being out of action for the Canterlot 500 just from a casual race, @mlp_clipper.
It’s more so the /intern’s/ actions, @mlp_clipper.
Lover Boy has all of his point invested in his charisma stat.
I’ve had to send interns on their way because they get distracted by him just standing there.
Wow, you really have been preoccupied lately.
*chuckles*
Just watch the next time @mlp_WhipTwister makes his presence known at HQ.
You’ll know what I mean.
*looks blankly at @mlp_clipper*
If I thought for a moment you were serious…
*laughs and shakes her head*
I am perfectly content with maintaining my single status.
Besides, I think you should start asking that to some of the interns.
Actually, yes.
These are my notes I’ve been taking from my sessions with our… eager cadet.
I need to eventually talk to both you and @Capt_Spitfire.
I want to share my thoughts and actually want to get permission for an idea I have regarding said cadet.
*nods*
