My first OPNsense issue. There were supposed to be plugins for dynamic DNS, but each one has very recently gone "we're deleting everything except cloudflare, just move to that." What sort of patch note is that? You all JUST HAD everything, I'm not moving to cloudflare wtf

I yap on twitter because nobody else I know really cares, so you get to hear how my OPNsense router journey includes finally trying Tailscale so my phone always looks like it's my home IP using my ad blocking DNS. All the pain of changing routers might be worth it JUST for this

(For anyone reading this later, it seems to be because the store saw everyone had a copy of marathon for the free weekend and the deluxe discounted itself because it automatically excluded the copy of the game, but then everyone's free copy gets turned off and RIP)

I'm confused, the screenshot of the Deluxe Edition clearly lists Marathon as a bullet point. Was there another one that was an upgrade add-on, or did they really screw it up that bad? (Don't get me wrong, I want to laugh at Bungie, but I need verified laughs.)

I'm convinced there's some insurance scheme unknown to us common folk where if a movie or a game fails to perform, there's some sort of pay out involved, because that's the only thing I can think of that explains why EVERYONE'S INTENTIONALLY DRIVING EVERY FRANCHISE OFF A CLIFF

Why pfsense is garbage, a short story:
- need package? update pfsense
- backup config
- version update fails (of course)
- no internet, tether to phone
- NEED ACCOUNT TO DOWNLOAD NOW
- finally get new version, restore fails
- screw it, reinstall previous version
- RESTORE FAILS

It took a day, but I'm on OPNsense now. UI is a little odd, but overall DANG IT'S NICE. New rules are great. There's built-in DNSBL, so it just has a simple pfBlocker-NG ready to go. Logs by default are clear about what rules allow/deny a connection, IT'S SO EASY TO ADJUST
