@Taxi_Point What about the 100's of TfL licensed vehicles/drivers working in Medway avoiding Medwayโs licensing requirements and compliance activity undermining public safety!!
๐ We are dismayed at more news around Uberโs unethical business practices, which include Greyballing, kill switches, and shady lobbying methods
โ๏ธ Our previous actions protecting local taxi drivers against Uber have been completely vindicated

@Taxi_Point#uber You were illegal then
You are still illegal now !!!
LGMPA s.46(1)(d)
You CANNOT operate in an area you are NOT licensed for
Crossborder hiring has NEVER been legal !!!
For all those criticising the @MLTDA1 and I for wanting to banish @Uber from Medway, look at this below.๐
Still think they are wonderful ?
We will not give up, I can assure you of that!
Great meeting as usual with Nigel and Helen from the @MLTDA1 .
Plans in full progress regarding our action against @Uber. The next few months will be key and we are ready!
Great news Uber and others operating illegally means another High Court victory for UTAG - all supporters will receive a full update via email shortly.
November is going to be a monumental month for the London Taxi Trade.
8th/9th November Chris Johnson's employment tribunal against FreeNow
23rd/24th @UTAG17 vs Uber and TfL in Part 8 Hearing
25th @UTAG17 vs TfL in a Judicial Review of Transopco aka FreeNow Private Hire licence
It is an absolute pleasure to help and support our local Taxi drivers with IT facilities to complete their mandatory courses .
They helped us so much during the pandemic and delivered food to so many families in need.
The staff loved the cakes! ๐ฐ ๐
A massive thank you to the amazing Jack, George and whole @CABMedway team for going above and beyond by providing the facilities to over 40 Medway cabbies to sit their mandatory online courses.
You are simply the best!
@tom_the_cabbie @MLTDA1 Way to many Uber users here on St.Marys Island๐ .People of Medway please use/support a good local cab firm like vokes , star cabs , ABC etc.Last Saturday outside the ship & trades an Uber allowed a adult passenger to travel in the boot of there Prius as there was 5 people ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ณ
@King61B TfL have allowed an illegal operation the Supreme Court has removed all doubt.
Honestly cannot see how a regulator can allow this model to continue. Additional problem is that they've allowed copycats - Bolt, Ola etc.
Also, without parent company support, ULL is insolvent.
Following constant lobbying by both the MLTDA and @CllrDanMcD
We are delighted that Medway Council have agreed for all Medway licensed drivers to access the Additional Restriction Grant 2 scheme.
This is much need and appreciated financial support during the challenging times
