When the minimum wage was first passed in 1938, it passed with a racist compromise. To ensure certain votes, legislators agreed to exclude certain industries that employed mostly Black workers. 2021 gives us a chance to build an economy that is more equitable and more resilient.

@UBSSW A2: 10+ years from now there will be major demographic changes in the US. In addition many current leaders are retiring. I envision a future w/ diverse, equitable leadership. I intend to invest my time now to ensure that w/ the demo shifts we begin to see representation #macrosw
