This is why I believe jurors on sexual assault cases should be specialist and trauma-informed. Picking randomers off the street when the normalisation of victim-blamed is so heavily ingrained into society is allowing perpetrators to get away with so many harms.

There's a certain public humiliation and dehumanization, that's reserved for poor people.
Sure sure she stole or whatever, but putting her on her knees, stolen item in hand, while you make a spectacle of her for all for all to see is awful.
