I'm always a bit sad at the end of a Major or Worlds, but there will be more! Production TOTALLY outdid themselves! This whole event was amazing and the best one we've been to yet. Thank you to everyone we met, RLCS and everyone involved for making this a fantastic Major! @RLEsports@UnkleCliffy@StaxRL@GarrettG@Satthew@byjono@Its_JSTN@NRGggRL Now off to Normandy tomorrow to honor our fallen on Memorial Day!!!!
I love technology!!! I got to watch the start of the historic 110th running of the Indy 500 while not missing a minute of RLCS in Paris! @RLEsports@Satthew@UnkleCliffy@StaxRL
This is our 11th RLCS event since covid ended. Other than the World's events (and not understanding a word of the in Arena broadcast), this has been the best LAN/ Major yet! @RLEsports@NRGggRL@StaxRL@UnkleCliffy@Satthew@Its_JSTN
Watching Steve O'Donnell, CEO of Nascar, talk about the tragic loss of Kyle Busch..... Just heart breaking..... Like he said, Kyle was an American badass... That's high praise for some of us
@mtxtun@T3Bates@FirstTouchRL I totally agree with the confidence thing. So much of sports is mental. That's literally why they have sports psychologists - to help them get out and stay out of their own way.
First even slightly negative thing I've dealt with at a Rocket League event today. As we were walking out I saw a young man and young woman quietly arguing while walking. He grabbed her lower arm and totally twisted it intentionally. Not to get her attention, but clearly as a reaction to what she was saying. I told Nick to stop walking and I just watched. She seemed to be trying to get away from him. I was about to step in when she walked/ran away. I then saw that he was with a group of about another 4 young men. He watched her walk away and then took off running after her. They weren't too far away, but still..... So, I went up to the guys he was with and asked if they spoke English and if they knew them. They said yes and I told them what I saw and that I was concerned. One guy said, oh no, they are just having a fight, they're fine. I said, no, that's not acceptable. You can fight all you want, but he put his hands on her and it looked like she was hurt. Another in their group said, you're right, that's unacceptable, we'll talk to him about it. I said, you really need to because he can't just do that and I was about to get the police. The first guy tried to say he wasn't like that and they were just arguing. I said, well he is like that because I saw it and he should have never put his hands on her like that. The second guy spoke up again and said yes, yes, you are right. It was completely wrong. He seemed to really get it and was watching them. So, I asked him to please watch out for her and we headed to our car. I told Nick, you don't have to be big and strong to step in and do what's right. I hope things go well with that couple!
