When BAT removed fuel subsidy in 2023, they have;
- allocated 37.2 billion to build housing units for federal judges in Abuja
- spent 40 billion on Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs for 109 Senators & 360 House of Representatives
- distributed 70 billion as "welcome packages" or support allowances for newly elected members of the 10th National Assembly
- spent 21 billion on new VP’s residence Abuja
- spent 5 billion on Vp’s quarter Lagos
- spent 7 billion to upgrade presidential fleet
- spent 8 billion on presidential residence, Abuja and Lagos
- spent 5 billion on presidential Yacht
Meanwhile, there has been ZERO, ZERO gains of this fuel subsidy removal to the people.
When I was at World Bank, we had an internal debate on removal of subsidy. Yours truly strongly argued against it & till tomorow, I stil believe subsidy removal in Nigeria where income is generaly low, is a SELF-SABOTAGING move.
Subsidy keeps prices of goods & services affordable
"How we can further develop South South and South Eastern ports so there is balance"... 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is a President I would vote for, not the fake Southern President we have now.
• Tax extortion
• Unauthorized tax debits
• High electricity bills
• High flight ticket fares
• High airport taxi fares
• High cost of gas and fuel
• High cost of tertiary education
• 15% VAT, 5% on fuel tax
• 30% capital gains tax
The Hausa people are great pillars that play a vital role in the unity and progress of Nigeria.
The Hausa language, without doubt, has flourished and has become a major language of unity and commerce across the world.
I congratulate the vast Hausa community on the occasion of Hausa Day, which is being celebrated at the historic Daura Palace today.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President
The two events MUST NOT be mutually exclusive. One can buy fuel at N400 without queuing.
Hardship sadly is one of those things that leaders in Nigeria inflict on the citizens to justify their inadequacy.
As I speak to you now, we are in 4th month without electricity in Yola.
Since fuel subsidy is allegedly benefiting only the Governors, then let the Governors vote for Tinubu!
As for the masses, I cannot support a system where a few people benefit while over 200 million Nigerians continue to struggle.
We’ve had enough. This time, I’m standing firmly for the restoration of fuel subsidy.
The people deserve relief, not excuses! 🇳🇬
The DG of the National Identity Management Commission is the Head of Data Management for the APC Campaign.
The DG of the National Revenue Service is APC's DDG of the Fund Raising Committee.
It really has never been this bad
My brother, Sunny, take am easy o. It’s not enough to throw insults around and gaslight Nigerians. You guys had three years to demonstrate to Nigerians how the removal of fuel subsidy makes sense.
You did not.
This is really the money illusion Prof. Charles Soludo talked about.
Beyond the number, money is really what money can buy.
N5.6trn in 2017 can buy what N20trn in 2025 cannot buy, in real terms.
If you are following Yahaya Jingir to shout Muslim Muslim ticket look at this video! 600 million Naira 😂😂
And you still think removal of subsidy is for you and me! 😂
Subsidy is gone but every home is now pursuing solar as alternative source of power? What exactly has gotten better with subsidy removal? Power? Security? Infrastructure? Education? Economy?
What?
@bin_gbada if your supposed reforms are stifling the economic progress of the citizenry, then you have failed, simply put. i don’t believe in the “it gets tough before it gets better” school of thought. it’s a lazy argument.
there should be a clear indication of progress. as of now, none.
Earlier today, I was at Kwarbai B ward. Which happens to be @Speaker_Abbas political ward, sending the @atiku fuel subsidy reversal gospel to our local communities, streets and eligible votes.
Yan dangwale sun amsa kira Atiku 2027.
