It’s official! The U.S. House of Representatives passed the HEARTS Act! ❤️🙌✅
This bipartisan bill can improve the chain of survival in schools nationwide by ensuring students, staff and visitors are prepared to respond in a cardiac emergency. 🧵⬇️
Fun Fact: Doctors Shuhan He, MD, and Harish Shanthanu Seethapathy, MD, from Mass General, co-created the anatomically correct heart emoji we see on our smartphones today. This heartwarming initiative aimed to improve communication in healthcare. 🫀 #WorldEmojiDay
"There is no gender bias in medicine. Because I said so..."
"This @NYTimes article raised women's awareness of #SCAD - but it was the public response that floored me..."
And when I say 'public', I mean the response from physicians.

This part is frightening:
"We have known about #SCAD for nearly a century, but we still do not know how best to prevent, diagnose, and treat it - making SCAD a highly important and unmet clinical need..."
Honored to be part of this event next week! Raising funds for a cause close to my ❤️🩹! #scadheartattacksurvivor#scadstrong#scadawareness

Know the signs and trust your instincts! Listen to your body, get checked out, and advocate for yourself. My jaw hurt, but my chest pain just felt like heartburn (not an 🐘). #scadawareness#scadheart
Today is #WomensDay!
Women with #CVD 💔 continue to be underdiagnosed due to misconceptions and a lack of awareness among patients and doctors.
📣 Help us spread awareness! The more women know about heart disease, the better their chance of beating it 💪 https://t.co/NG4JtmbMLp
Happy #HeartMonth! ❤️ Every year, we spend February working to spread heart-health awareness to help save more lives. This year, we're partnering with the Big Lots Foundation with a $333,333 matching gift. If you donate now at https://t.co/eEiOqd4TQV, they'll match your gift.
A woman you should know…Dr. Myra Adele Logan.
The first woman to perform open heart surgery, Dr. Logan is credited with researching early detection and treatment for breast cancer. Her research has saved countless lives. #29DaysofHeart#BlackHistoryMonth#HeartMonth#Honor
I cried on my SCADiversary - not for what I’ve lost, but because my heart ❤️🩹is simply filled with gratitude (and a couple of stents). I share my story because it really can happen to anyone - I know because it happened to me. #scadheart#widowmaker
This is 2 years post- SCAD heart attack. I am grateful for the chance to see all three kids venture off on their own. I have regained enough physical strength to actually help lift boxes - I’ve come a long way since the original limit of a gallon of milk.
I have learned to trust myself and my body and when doubt and fear creep in, or I get frustrated, I have an incredible support system (that’s all of you) that encourages me to try or ask for help.
