Since you seem confused, if the map is purple or pink, as shown, you're in a surge area.... you can see where my blue dot is, RIGHT in the pink. I should have gotten a $14.50 surge bonus on my ride. I did not, but somehow nothing is wrong.

So does lyft just spin a wheel and that's how they decide on the upfront pay, and the rules that go along with that?
At this point, it isn't even about 7 miles, it's about you not paying your drivers fairly.
