I'm blown away and honestly very moved by the kind messages from people following yesterday's news that The bunkered Podcast has been put on "pause".

Below is a very small sample of the sentiment and generosity, for which I'm very grateful.

It has been so rewarding to take the pod from an idea on a sheet of paper and turn it into almost 300 episodes that have taken bunkered into more than 180 different countries, racking up (quite literally) millions of downloads along the way. I'm hugely proud of it.

For now, though, I'm looking forward to some time out and a much-needed holiday.

One of the parts of its cultural identity of which Glasgow is most proud is music. So many amazing and influential bands and musicians have come from this city.

So, it's a little disappointing that two of the headline musical numbers at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony have been the oh-so-tired "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" by a Spanish duo, and "I'm Gonna Be" by The Proclaimers... from Edinburgh.

A shame. 😔

@MMcEwanGolf Very disappointing and, I think, a short-sighted decision. I subscribed to Bunkered because of the podcast. I go online to Bunkered because of the podcast. That’s where the visibility comes from and I hope this doesn’t affect distribution.
