It was a labor of love but I was able to prepare activities that saved 2,000+ bottle caps from the trash! Each 1st grader will get their very own caterpillar spelling activity to take home to practice their sight words 🎉🐛 @cdavis21BCPS @JPlakosh @SandyPlainsES @SustainableBCPS

15 Ss graduated from our Nonsense Word Fluency group! Reading nonsense words is important bc it helps train our brain on what to do when we encounter unknown words in books. The Ss took home NWF Uno and NWF Blending Cards to show their families what they learned! @cdavis21BCPS

“Amira” is out there! 🎈I’m so excited to work with Ms. Rutherford’s 1st grade class to encourage them to practice reading on Amira. Research shows that just 30 minutes of practice per week leads to stronger literacy skills! #TogetherWeSoar @SandyPlainsES @cdavis21BCPS @JPlakosh
