The poverty ravaging the North is not accidental. It is engineered, sustained by an elite class that rewards silence and punishes conscience.

Some men enter politics with good hearts, only to be slowly consumed by a system that demands compromise or extinction.

Senator Garba Musa Maidoki chose a different path — he refused to play along, and they made him pay for it.

What moved me most?

He became poorer in politics.

Not richer.

Poorer.

In a space where men arrive with nothing and leave with empires, he arrived with integrity and still continued with it intact.
