It’s tempting to use the analogy of rats fleeing a sinking ship to describe the growing number of Republican elected officials starting to speak out against Donald Trump. But that's really not fair to rats, who tend not to be complicit in driving ships to the bottom of the sea.
When people babble about "guesstimates" I remind them they do not need that word. And estimate is an estimate and that is wrong. if it was right we might call it data.
For the next week or two, let’s do an experiment.
Whenever someone says “story point” or “velocity,” quietly in your own head translate it to “made up numbers.”
“I’ve noticed your made up numbers have dipped.”
“We need to raise our made up numbers.”

"Common sense" should be a value. I have repeatedly seen "Respect" used as a weapon here as people (perhaps unconsciously) confound criticism of a concept with criticism of the individual. This builds a culture of censorship and lack of transparency. #SGVIE19
