That shows the level they went to prepare for the match. But obviously, the coach had no clear plans for how to progress in the match after his team scored. Deciding to defend instead of attacking and maybe score more was what cost England the match.

That’s correct. You guys were supposed to attack, fight for every ball, and give the Argentines little or no room to plot a comeback. However, Tuchel chose another approach, which was to defend, and it didn’t work. Defending at that stage of the game allowed the Argentines to enjoy more possession which allowed them to create many scoring opportunities. You guys are lucky they scored only two. It was supposed to be four.
@FabrizioRomano You didn’t approach the match well, Thomas. Your team scored one goal and then you feel that the right thing to do from that moment was to defend. As you can see now, you were wrong, and therefore, you deserve to be criticized.
