Thinking about inquiry based learning in world language classes on my blog! https://t.co/Q9z2YRz3sM… Thanks for the awesome post @SraSpanglish about Project Based Learning in the Spanish classroom on the @SecSpanishSpace blog! #pbl#langchat#edu583umf
A5: I think my next steps are all about building connections, especially in the community. Traveling is amazing but we have so many authentic French resources right in our own backyard. And maybe planning an Applied Learning Opportunity to Quebec? #edu583umf
A4: Build relationships! Mutual trust is so important in any collaboration so that everyone can make mistakes, learn and share together. Also lots of listening and reflection! #edu583umf
A3: Learning partnerships help students become self-directed learners and problem solvers. Assessment and reflection helps them understand how far they've come, where to go from here and how to get to their goal #edu583umf
@johannaprince I teach French grades 6-12 so at the beginning of each class period we have town meeting, a few minutes in English to check in and build community before our French activities. Sometimes a question of the day, sometimes unstructured. Lots of laughter and relationship building!
A2: I try my best to incorporate my educational values - building relationships and negotiating authentic communication - by trying to bring students' interests into our curriculum and learning through stories. We're also deskless and have a daily "town meeting" #edu583umf
@LHSWellness21 I also feel so thankful for the amount of autonomy I have in my classroom! I'm definitely able to reflect my values and growth because of it! #edu583umf
A1: What if we could travel more easily and often with our students? What if they could experience new cultures (and languages!) without a cost barrier? #edu583UMF
