And Kawhi collecting money didn't alter the competitive balance. Ballmer's cap circumvention did.

But also as reported by Shams...Kawhi and his agent told those teams he would not sign an extension with them.

The league needed to wrap this up and the only way to do it cleanly was if one or both Ballmer and KL would plead guilty and Ballmer wouldn't cooperate.

NBPA intervened and Kawhi apologized.

Ballmer really should have been fined more money. Especially since Ballmer did this same thing with DeAndre Jordan in 2015 and got fined for it. Ballmer's a repeat offender. He knew better.

Ballmer says no...maybe Kawhi considers staying with the Raptors since they could LEGALLY pay him more than anyone else.
